This week the Kingdom of Tonga marked 150 years since the signing of its constitution, the oldest in the Pacific. In the capital Nuku’alofa there are a number of events marking the occasion, including a ground-breaking ceremony with King Tupou VI. The ABC’s Tonga reporter Marian Kupu was at this week’s festivities and spoke to locals about what the constitution means to them.
