Why do politicians refuse to talk about “affordability” even though it’s literally how Zohran Mamdani won? Because when young voters say “affordability,” they’re not talking about poverty. They’re talking about making $65–100K and still not being able to afford rent, housing, or a normal life. An entire generation was told: go to college, move to a coastal city, get a job in your field.
