Many of you have asked why the Penlee Lifeboat has such a close connection and friendship with Mousehole AFC - over the years many of our lifeboat crew have donned the Mousehole strip and proudly played for the ‘Seagulls’. Owen Ladner, goal keeper, was a long serving crewman on the W & S and Solomon Browne lifeboats in the 50’s & 60’s Leslie ‘Nabo’ Nicholls, his close friend & crew mate, the late Nigel ‘Brocky’ Brockman, and Nimrod ‘Nim’ Bawden, who played in goal, served together for many years
