Two people were injured when a vehicle was struck by a train in Belmont early Monday morning, police said. The collision occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Brighton Street when the driver of 2014 Avalon got stuck on the tracks as an MBTA commuter rail train was approaching and was struck, MBTA Transit police said in a statement on social media.
