Lakeshore communities along Lake Michigan, particularly in Muskegon, Ottawa and possibly Oceana counties, could see intense snowfall with totals exceeding six inches as the system interacts with the lake boundary. Winds will increase Wednesday, with gusts reaching 30 to 40 mph, creating hazardous travel conditions.
Lake-effect snow continues to hammer parts of Michigan as Arctic air remains locked over the Great Lakes, keeping snow bands active and dangerous wind chills.
Forecasters are keeping an eye on a potentially “impactful” winter storm that could bring “substantial snow accumulations” to the Lehigh Valley this weekend.

A monster winter storm will clash with Arctic air, with major implications for the weather forecast in Massachusetts.

"Very cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero expected," according to the statement issued by the National Weather Service in Wilmington.
