GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — A winning lottery ticket worth $6.8 million was sold in Groton on Tuesday, making this the fifth-highest jackpot win in the history of the game. The Lotto! ticket was sold at the Big Y World Market on Poquonnock Road.
In January, several Connecticut Lottery players won $100,000 from playing Cash 5. The largest Connecticut Lottery prize claimed in January was $4 million claimed by a Tolland man who purchased the $50 ticket while stopping at a different gas station than his usual on his way to work, according to Connecticut Lottery.
