City of Albuquerque closes downtown offices due to protest activity

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The City of Albuquerque is closed City Hall and other Downtown offices at 1 p.m. Friday due planned protests. The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) recommended the closure to reduce vehicle traffic as pedestrians head to Civic Plaza. City offices will resume normal operations on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.
